Dryad

I created the Dryad for the first Sculpture Trail I curated in the trees of Buxton Pavilion Gardens called ‘Up Here’. I used the wrapping technique I developed from the Sketches in Tyres around a tinfoil sculpture. For her hair I wired pine cones gathered from my garden and clad her body and legs in tree bark found in Pavilion Gardens. She proved to be most popular and won an award for the best artwork shown during Buxton Fringe
