Made From Sofas

Maker

Inspired by a handstitched leather handbag I bought at the Festival Mondial des Theatres de Marionnettes I decided I would create the ideal handbag and purse in readiness for when lockdown lifted and we would finally be able to return to France. Not one to be encumbered by stuff the handbag needed to be big enough to hold my passport, a debit card, small hairbrush and a matching purse. Once I showed interest in old leather furniture I acquired a red leather pouf, a pair of tan chairs and lots of leather scraps. Then off I went rummaging around in my various boxes of found and recycled objects to create these bags
